These are numbers from HWInfo x I used the included Kryonaut paste and connected the water in the proper direction. Two pumps it's a big loop going the right direction.Did I mess up with putting on the stock cooler?

Is this normal for the x or did I mess up and should I clean and reapply thermal paste? According to the link below, see if it idles cooler using only CPU-Z. Thanks for the responses! Could just be some updates but I would not know for sure.

I checked it this morning, it seemed to be idling in the high 40s which is a significant improvement IMO. That high voltage is reported also by Ryzen master 1. I might have to look into undervolting and just trying to get stock performance 4.

Honestly, its the noise that bothers me so much. As lame as it sounds the only reason I havent bought a new one is because I want to keep the RGB hahaha.

I remember Jayz2Cents saying that his board came with similar voltages default, and that those where way overkill even for Overclocking.

Maybe drop those voltages a bit? Thanks for that video!! I think that is the problem. Edit: Mobo was dead on arrival Should have replacement here today.

Your cpu core temp is really high, like mine was with my x.

Access vba copy textbox to clipboard

I had to manually lower the voltage to 1. Except I tried 3 different coolers, and 2 motherboards with the same idles and load temps. I saw the JayzTwoCents video and tried setting the voltages to what he recommended and all it did was lower my performance.

I was getting about degrees just sitting doing nothing. My room is about 72 and have ample case fans. Nerodante87 agrzesiak I did solve the problem: getting a better cooler and understanding how different programs affect PB.

Too many background programs are causing light threaded loads to boost with up to 1.

In fact a good rule of thumb is under 1. This is the default boost behavior. Return to Level1Techs.

Overall I'm not too worried about it as I'm seeing normal scores in benchmarks like Cenebench R20, where it hits about 74C during the first run. Epos7 said:.Menu Menu. I just noticed that temps were idling at 70ish and immediately hitting the 95c thermal limit on load.

So with a bit of research I dial it back all the way down to 1. And while that lowered the idles into the lower 60s, it still hits 95c immediately on load.

And I see no problems with the contact between the heatsink and the CPU. Reactions: DooKey. VirtualLarry Lifer. Aug 25, 47, 4, DrMrLordX Lifer. Apr 27, 14, 3, He hasn't reported such trouble. Seems like you're getting a lot more voltage than normal if those numbers are to be believed. Are you operating at default settings? Do you have the latest UEFI revision for your board there are some betas out there that have helped Markfw?

And do you have the latest chipset drivers from AMD? You can also try applying a negative voltage offset inside the UEFI to try to bring down those voltages and temps. Might be worth a shot - just be careful not to go too far, or you'll run into clock stretching which is actually pretty annoying for desktop users.

Trying the latest chipset drivers as we speak, but the flaming temps are reported at BIOS level so I'm not sure it'll help. Even did a Load Defaults just to be sure. Also tried the neg offset but it would only let me drop. And that's what still left with me with low 60s on idle and 95c immediately on load. My Corsair is also set to Extreme for both pump and fan.Forums New posts Search forums. New posts What's new Latest activity New profile posts.

Ryzen 9 3900x Temp & Voltage issues caused by Logitech G HUB!!

Normal behavior for Ryzen I heard that, But the X should need the same then, I mean, the difference isn't big. Or actually, the X should be more efficient, since it has better silicon or at least it's been promised to be better.

Joined Jan 3, Messages 1, 0. First how dit you get your hands on a X already, where X not first set to be available November 25? Secondly it does sound a bit hot according to what reviews get of temperatures.Log in or Sign up.

Dec 15, at PM 2. What are your temps like under load? Have you re-seated the cooler on the CPU to ensure it's making good contact? Dec 15, at PM 3. Taken the protective sticker off the bottom cold plate?

Dec 15, at PM 4. Yes taken sticker off the the bottom plate. No not Re-seated the cool as i have re ordered a new one as it has a noise cooler fan. Dec 15, at PM 5. Dec 15, at PM 6. We realized this probably wouldn't satisfy everyone but considering it's included in the price and we've seen decent results on previous generations, it's what made the most sense at launch. Our day-one testing showed that although the Ryzen 9 X and Ryzen 7 X boosted better with improved cooling, we were only talking about a minor increase in frequency.

Moreover, the marginal boost in clock speed had little to no impact on performance. You could argue we were doing AMD a solid by testing their CPUs with the box cooler as this could swing things in their favor when it came to the value analysis. But this wasn't the intention at all, rather we wanted to leverage what they had to offer again, it's included after all.

We also knew that out of the box the Core iK would deliver the exact same performance using the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4. Now with baseline performance established, we plan to provide an in-depth benchmark session later this week, comparing the X and K head to head in over 30 games, both stock and overclocked.

For the stock testing the X will keep the box cooler, but for the overclocked results it will be upgraded to the same liquid cooler used by the Intel processor. But before we do that, we thought it would be a good idea to showcase what kind of a difference upgraded cooling makes in gaming and application performance.

As you can see, with the X in its stock out of the box trim, it ran at 4 GHz in this test with the Wraith Prism box cooler. Now looking at the total render time in Blender we see that the liquid cooler improved stock performance by a single percent and we see the same thing when looking at the overclocked results.

Well, we see virtually no change in performance in Apex Legends. The miniscule delta is within the margin of error though it seemed pretty clear that the slight increase in frequency typically yielded better results. Vermintide 2 shows up to a 1. Quite a bit cooler, it turns out.

ryzen 3900x normal temps

When overclocking the liquid cooler was also 19 degrees cooler while running quite a bit quieter. The good news is that temperatures only increased slightly, so the real advantage of the AIO here is the operating volume. We observed that when gaming the fan speed was generally around RPM and much quieter than what we saw when stress testing with Blender.

The X costs quite a bit more than the K, while the X matched the K. In that scenario, the X is a whisker cheaper than the K, while the X is a lot cheaper than the K and matches the value of the K.

If you care about value, the included box cooler really helps out. We leave the cooler choice up to you. If you enjoy our content, please consider subscribing User Comments: 20 Got something to say?
